By Vic Smeed

While on a lightning visit to Falmouth we passed the boat on our cover in another craft, and shot off a couple of quick photographs. When we looked into the photographs we found that they bore out our first ideas, ie, that the, boat in question would be an excellent .subject for this particular purpose. Unfortunately we knew nothing .about the vessel, but from one of the photographs were able to make out the letters "Ister" on what appeared to be a house flag, A spot of sleuthing eventually got us in touch with Lister' Blackstone, the marine engineers, who own the boat and were able to tell us that it was used for operational testing of their engines and equipment.

Our model is no more than a representation of this boat, since .the plans are drawn entirely from .the photographs we took, plus a little imagination. For this reason we are calling the model Silver Mist instead of Silver Vanity, which we discovered eventually to be the name of the prototype. We won't make any dreadful puns about whether we have missed a likeness by any degree. , . .           .
