I'm sure you'll like how the Ocean Challenger runs. With its relatively deep draft, simple drive arrangement and all the detail you can add (such as running lights and engine sound), the model will do well at any regatta, and it's equally at home on the local pond just having fun
THE FULL-SIZE Ocean Challenger fishing boat was built by George Ferriera of Fort Bragg, CA, in 1979 and is now owned and operated by Arnold Jardstrom. It is 60 feet long and has a beam of 18 feet. Power comes from a V12-71 Jimmy Detroit diesel, and it has a 453 Detroit diesel as an auxiliary. As shown, the boat is rigged to catch swordfish, and it can hold a catch of 80,000 pounds. Arnold lays a net 270 feet deep and one mile long while the boat moves
