Engines .29 - .35

By Earl Cayton

E-Z-Duzzit is a very simple to construct all-round sport and stunt ukie model. Construction has been simplified to the point where building time is negligible without detracting from ruggedness. The ship is also very easy to fly and it's so docile on the lines that we heartily recommend it for beginners  Experts, too, will like the way the model handles and have hours of fun and enjoyment.

The plan shows the installation of engines ranging from .29 to .35. But, any engine can be used and the change is minor. We suggest that you do not go below the .19 limit as the model will not handle too well. Through the use of a U-Reely handle, you can lengthen or shorten the lines to get the best flight under most weather conditions. Our model used a K&B Torpedo .29R with the restrictor retained and it did a commendable job on .60-foot lines. Sunday flyers should have plenty of fun with this ship.

We must admit that for contest purposes, E-Z-Duzzit is not an ideal. Emphasis on Stunt models today calls for sleek semi-scale lines which add points to the flyer's score. Profile models are not too well accepted in this class, especially at large meets. For local contests, keep the weight on the light side and you should be able to keep up with the best that is, with practice.
