Eons back, in the dim prehistoric 1940 era, the first control line design was born. It was an odd craft, especially when viewed from the vantage point of the day, when the lightly loaded free flight was king. Most of the ships were large, and ranged from semi-realistic sport flyers to the pylon jobs. All carried ignition, and scale or stunt free flight was almost unheard of. The reaction then, to the late Jim Walker's now famous "Fireball", was catastrophic. Nothing like it had ever been seen.
