THlS model is the result of combining various features of several designs of up-to-date cabin cruisers. The present trend in cruising boats is towards a good turn of speed and a large open cockpit at the stern with ample seating arrangements. There is, however, only limited accommodation forward, perhaps only two berths. The dimensions of the model have not been set to an exact scale and so Sirocco can only be ·said to be a near-scale model. The raked appearance of the cabin is fairly common but the fairly extensive use of veneer on the cabin windows, the wind-screen, and the cockpit sides is an attempt to break any monotony. The model has ample space both forward and aft of the engine compartment for single or multi-channel radio control. The suitable power ranges from 2 1/2 - 8 c.c diesel, .15 - .49 c.i. the new E.D. Sea Otter being a very happy choice. Electric power is also suitable since space allows for batteries.
