 THIS inch to the foot scale model is reduced from lines of a real Swampscot or New England dory, taken from a boat at Gloucester, Massachusetts. It is an authentic reproduction of boats the men of New England and other fishing fleets depend upon when at sea with trawls. They were also adopted by the Navy as life boats on destroyers and tenders, where space is at a premium, because they can be nested ­four to six can be stacked one inside the other and because they can handle unbelievable loadings sea worthily and safely.
