An unusual and colourful harbour tug operating in the United Arab Emirates.
Details of the prototype are: Built 1976 in Imia Shipyard, Tokyo, Japan; 1 of 3 ships, 125 tonnes displacement. Powered by 2 6 cylinder Nigata diesel engines through twin Kort type nozzles and four bladed props.
The full size vessel is 24m long x 7.4mbeam. I converted this down to 1/2in. to 1ft., which gave me a model of 40in. long by 14in. beam quite meaty I thought!
